KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's basketball team took the floor for its first action of the 2018-19 season on Friday, Nov. 2 at University Arena. The Broncos hosted Grace Christian and took down the Tigers 91-49.
Four Broncos scored in double figures, while WMU shot 32-for-69 from the field and 17-for-39 from beyond the arc. WMU scored a game-high 34 points in the first quarter and didn't look back.
11 Broncos saw the floor, including solid contribution from the three newcomers. Maddie Watters tallied 12 points, shooting 4-9 from three-point range to lead the freshmen class in their first collegiate appearances.
