Western Michigan picked up its second straight win at home after defeating Detroit Mercy 82-67, moving its overall record to 2-1.
The Broncos got off to a hot start scoring the game’s first two baskets and never lost the lead through the contest. Despite a comeback in the third quarter by the Titans trimming the Broncos lead down to six, Western came back and took control of the contest as the game entered the final quarter.
Helping Western on offense was senior Kamrin Reed with a team-high 17 points and three rebounds while earning a steal on the defensive side of the ball.
