Women's Basketball Caps off Masterful Comeback Win over Akron

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's basketball team trailed by 13 points entering the fourth quarter, but the Broncos fought back and completed the huge comeback by beating Akron 69-65 Saturday afternoon at University Arena in the annual Play 4Kay game. Head coach Shane Clipfell turned his hair pink following the game in support of breast cancer awareness.

The Broncos improve to 15-10 overall and 7-6 in the Mid-American Conference while the Zips drop to 12-11 overall and 6-6 in the MAC. WMU moved to 7-1 against MAC East opponents this season as well as 8-2 at home.
