KALAMAZOO, MI - After finishing his sophomore season with 14 consecutive starts for the Western Michigan men's basketball team, Seth Dugan was ready for a breakout junior campaign in 2017-18.
He was a fixture at Read Fieldhouse over the summer, working on his game and preparing to take a larger role in the front court, but there was a problem creeping up inside his size-14 Adidas.
At some point in his 27 minutes on the court during the season opener against South Carolina, a twinge popped up in Otsego native's foot. Later in the road trip, the twinge turned into a shooting pain, and the 7-foot center was diagnosed with a stress fracture of the navicular bone.
