KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan redshirt sophomore guard Lauren Ross has been named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. It is the first Player of the Week award for Ross this season and third of her WMU career.
Ross poured in a season-high 27 points, and added three rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals, in Western Michigan's game at #23 Michigan last week. The Muskegon, Mich., native had a hot shooting night for WMU, as she connected on 9-of-14 from the floor, made all five of her three-point attempts and was 4-for-4 at the foul line.
