KALAMAZOO, MI - For the last four years in Kalamazoo, Jamauri Bogan has had a nose for the end zone, but rarely has his knack for crossing the goalline been more apparent than in Western Michigan's 42-35 Week 7 win at Bowling Green.
The fifth-year senior running back scored four touchdowns Saturday, including three in the second half, to lead the Broncos' comeback effort against the Falcons.
Bogan's performance not only kept the Broncos (5-2, 3-0 MAC) tied atop the league standings, it also earned him MAC West Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Through the college football season's first seven Weeks, WMU has had six different athletes earn weekly honors from the conference, including three on offense (Bogan, Jayden Reed and Dee Eskridge), one on defense (Ralph Holley), one on special teams (Gavin Peddie) and one scholar athlete honor (Jon Wassink, twice).
