INDIANAPOLIS -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team opened up the 2016 season with a 2-2 draw at IUPUI on Friday evening.

The Broncos dominated the stats but had to come from behind with Tiffany Buckler netting the game-tying goal in the 54th minute. WMU outshot the Jaguars 22-7 on the day, landing 11 on goal.
"It was really good seeing the team compete against someone other than themselves," said head coach Lauren Sinacola. "We saw a lot of great things from new faces stepping into new roles.
