Western Michigan women’s soccer earned a 0-0 draw against Central Michigan. The Broncos are now 5-1-5 overall and 2-0-2 in conference play.
WMU came out aggressive and found most of its chances in the first fifteen minutes. Graduate student Maya Dean managed to collect one of the two shots on goal in the opening two minutes, but CMU’s goalkeeper was able to keep the score even.
Senior Abby Werthman found an opportunity in the seventh minute, but her shot went wide. Eight minutes later, junior Madi Canada managed the only other shot on goal for that half from a free kick but was once again collected by CMU’s goalie.
