CHICAGO – Senior forward Mackenzie Barber netted her first career goal and assisted on the game-winning goal as the Western Michigan women's soccer team picked up its fifth win of the season after defeating Loyola Chicago on the road, 2-1, on Friday night.
Candice Uhl netted the winner for the Broncos (5-1-0) in the 69th minute, while junior Stephanie Heber made a season-high six saves. WMU outshot the Ramblers 18-12 on the night but the chances on goal were tied at 7-7.
"I thought we did some very nice things out on the field tonight," said head coach Lauren Sinacola.
