The Broncos fought all the way, but came up short against Ball State on Saturday in the final game of the regular season losing 76-69.
Reilly Jacobson was dominant, leading the game in scoring with 21 points, and having her way down low, killing Ball State by rolling off screens and finishing with ease. Freshman Thelma Dis Agustsdottir of Ball State led the way for them with 19 points on 7-8 shooting, including 5-6 from three point land, and was very crucial in Ball State pulling away down the stretch when WMU was still in it.
The Broncos led 19-16 after the first quarter, with Jacobson and Maddie Watters pouring in 6 points each in the first and setting the tone for the Broncos as they pounced on Ball State’s slow start and lack of communication early.
