Western Michigan volleyball defeated Buffalo 3-1 in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Friday.
Logan Case recorded 53 assists and nine digs in the win. It was her fifth 50+ assist game of the season.
Four Broncos recorded double-digit kills in the contest. Mary Clare Brusek led the team with 16. The other three double-digit kill Broncos were Keona Salesman, Madison Merz and Julia Marr. WMU finished the game with a .371 kill percentage.
Andelyn Simkins led the Broncos with 19 digs. Reeghan Boyer recorded 12 and Elana Erickson picked up 11.
The Broncos opened the first set on a 9-4 spurt, capped off by an ace from Merz.
