Western Michigan volleyball swept Ball State in three sets (26-24, 25-21 and 25-22) Sunday to earn its fourth straight win.
The match started rough for the Broncos, falling into a hole quickly in the first set, as the Cardinals took an early lead, which grew to a 24-17 margin with the set looking like it would go to the Cardinals. Instead, after a 9-0 run that included three straight kills by Andelyn Simkins, the Broncos grabbed the 26-24 win in set one.
After the huge win in the first set, WMU took the momentum and rode it into the second set, led by six kills from Maggie King the Broncos took care of Ball State to make it a 2-0 lead and set up the potential for a sweep in set three.
