Western Michigan volleyball defeated Akron 3-1 Saturday. The team improves its win streak to 13, all of which coming in the Mid-American Conference. The Broncos now have an overall record of 23-2 with a 13-0 MAC record.
Logan Case surpassed 50 assists for the second match in a row. The senior setter had 53 while also adding five digs. Andelyn Simkins led the team in digs with 26.
Anna Calcagno achieved her second double-double in as many matches. She now has seven on the season. She produced a team high 20 kills and had 13 digs.
In the first set WMU found itself up 18-14.
