Western Michigan volleyball defeated Akron 3-1 Thursday night and 3-2 Friday night. The team is now even on the season at 11-11 and 7-4 in the conference.
Anna Calcagno led the team in kills over both games with a combined 37. Logan Case also achieved a career high 67 assists on Friday. The team recorded six aces over the two games and a .393 hitting percentage on Thursday night.
GAME ONE
Both teams came out hot on Thursday night, starting the first set off with a lot of back and forth. The Broncos were finally able to inch away with four consecutive points mid-set, putting them up 17-12.
