OXFORD, Ohio – The Western Michigan volleyball team has advanced to the Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship game on Sunday after upsetting the second-seeded Bowling Green Falcons, 3-1 (19-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-21) at Miami University on Saturday night.
The Broncos move on to take on the host RedHawks at 4:30 p.m.
Freshman outside hitter Rachel Bontrager had a match-high 18 kills to lead WMU (18-12). Sydney LeMay hit .500 on 14 kills, while sophomore Quiana Ware had 13 and Olivia Kofie had 11. Kathleen Reilly had a match-high 30 digs, while Bontrager contributed 12 for her second double-double of the tournament.
