CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – In a rare tripleheader on Sunday the Western Michigan baseball team was swept on the road at Southeast Missouri State to open the 2019 campaign.
WMU and SEMO resumed play in game one Sunday morning after playing 8.1 innings on Saturday before play was suspended due to darkness. The Broncos dropped game one, 5-1 prior to falling in game two, 8-4 and game three, 9-8.
It was a stellar weekend at the plate for sophomore Blake Dunn who registered a batting average of .429 (6-of-14) with one home run, four RBI's and two runs scored.
