PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team improved to 2-1 on the season after a 4-0 sweep of Duquesne, on the road at Alpha Tennis & Fitness of Pittsburgh on Friday night.
DOUBLES
The Broncos picked up the doubles point after wins at No. 1 and No. 2. Lindsey Zieglar and Valeriya Monko gave WMU the early advantage after a 6-2 win at the top spot. The Dukes evened it out with a win at No. 3, 7-6 (7-3), by Ellen Shanahan and Taisia Yakunina over Ariane Souligny and Polina Khotko.
