WMU starting right tackle out for at least a week with injury

KALAMAZOO, MI - Unlike last season, long-term injuries haven't taken a toll on the Western Michigan football team in 2018, at least until the Broncos' Week 6 game against EMU.

Starting right tackle Mark Brooks had to be helped off the field during WMU's final drive on Saturday, and head coach Tim Lester ruled the redshirt sophomore out for at least the Week 7 game at Bowling Green.

"He'll be out for this week," Lester said Tuesday at the team's weekly press conference. "I think the MRI will be read today, so I'll know more today.
