WMU Softball wins series against Toledo

Western Michigan softball went 2-1 on the road against Toledo this weekend. The Broncos swept Saturday’s doubleheader before falling in Sunday’s finale. The team is now 8-18 overall.

Riley Dittmar and Jordan Smith had standout offensive performances. The pair scored four runs each, with Smith also achieving three RBIs Sunday. Tristen Head topped that in game two, recording four RBIs. Head and Micaela Booth contributed multiple hits throughout the weekend to round out the offense.

Game 1

WMU struck early in the first inning when a double by Booth allowed Dittmar to score. A single by Smith drove Booth in, giving the Broncos a quick 2-0 lead.
