Western Michigan softball played its first series since ending tournament play last week. WMU traveled to Evansville to play the Aces in a double-header Saturday and a single game Sunday.
The Broncos went 1-2 in the series and are now 4-9 on the year.
Game one of the double-header was a nail-biter as the Broncos won 4-3.
The game remained scoreless until the top of the fourth inning in which the Broncos struck first as Jordyn Swinehart hit an RBI groundout. The Aces would answer in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI double to center to tie the contest up, 1-1.
