WMU softball drops first home series to Kent State

On Saturday, the Western Michigan Softball team lost both games of a double header against MAC rival the Kent State Golden Flashes following a loss to them this past Friday. This now makes WMU 10-17 on the year.

Sydney Stefanick started on the mound in the first game for the Broncos. However, it wasn’t her finest performance of the season, Stefanick pitched 5.1 innings allowing 6 hits and three earned runs.

Western started out the game strong by scoring the first run of the game in the first inning. Center Fielder Kaylen Glenfield grounded out to short but was able to drive Right Fielder Mackenzie Swinehart in for the RBI.
