KALAMAZOO, MI - Western Michigan senior and former Portage Northern standout Brandon Bye earned men's soccer Player of the Year honors for the Mid-American Conference, the league announced Thursday.
The 6-foot, 185-pound midfielder led the conference in points (29), goals (12) and shots (77), while finishing fourth in assists (five) over 17 games. He is the first WMU player to win the league's top individual honor.
