WMU Sees Improvement on Day Two of Rio Verde Invitational

RIO VERDE, Ariz. – The Western Michigan golf team wrapped up the second round of the Rio Verde Invitational on Saturday at the Rio Verde Country Club's White Wing Golf Course.

The Broncos took 11 strokes off of their team total from Friday's round, combining to shoot a 311 for a 36-hole total of 633 (+57). WMU currently sits in 16th place. Kennessaw State leads the tournament with a 582 (+6), with Xavier nipping at its heels at 585 (+9).

Four of WMU's five competitors improved their scores from Friday. Freshman Ally Barth shot a 77 for a two-day total of 155 and is currently tied for 40th.
