HILLSDALE, Mich. -- Personal-bests were a theme for the Western Michigan track and field team as it wrapped up the first two days of competition at the 50th annual GINA Relays at Hillsdale College on Thursday and Friday.
Five Broncos turned in personal-best times, including sophomore Ayiana Gaines in the 400-meter hurdles. Gaines won the open 400 hurdles race with a time of 1:00.42 in just her second time ever competing in the event.
On Thursday evening both sophomore Hanne Christensen and junior Daya Wagh took huge chunks of time off of their personal-bests in the 5,000-meter run.
