Western Michigan (6-3-1, 4-3-1 MAC) men’s soccer’s hopes for a Mid-American Conference title are still alive after its matchup against Akron finished in a 0-0 draw.
Both teams had their chances to score, but the goaltending of Isaac Walker for the Broncos and Will Meyer for the Zips was too much as they both pitched shutouts in 110 minutes of playing time.
In the first half, Akron had six shots compared to only four for the Broncos. Both teams had half their shot attempts land on net, with the Zips holding a 3-2 advantage at the break.
