DAYTON, Ohio -- Brandon Bye scored his second goal of the season as the Western Michigan men's soccer team continued its strong start to the season after a 2-0 win at Dayton on Sunday afternoon.

Bye netted his game-winner in the fifth minute, while the Bronco defense once again clamped down on its opponent by only allowing five total shots. Dzenan Nezirevic added a late insurance goal for the team's second-straight shutout win. WMU Drew Shepherd goalkeeper made three saves.

"What an unbelievable opening weekend for the guys," said head coach Chad Wiseman.
