Western Michigan men's basketball (8-21, 2-14 MAC) lost to Ball State (15-14, 6-10) on Saturday 60-58.
A game that looked to have all the makings of a blowout early stayed close on Saturday at University Arena. Ball State led by as many as 11 points with 12 minutes left in the first half but the Broncos kept it close.
Thanks to a three at the end of the first half by freshman guard William Boyer-Richard, WMU was tied at 34 with Ball State at the end of the first period.
For WMU, senior center Seth Dugan led the way, posting a 20-20 game coming within two boards shy of his single game rebounding career-high.
