Western Michigan men’s basketball was defeated 85-76 at the hands of Buffalo Saturday. The Broncos are now 4-13 overall and 1-4 in the Mid-American Conference.

Chansey Willis Jr. led WMU’s scoring efforts with 21 points. He also led the team with five assists and six steals. While the steals were important, he was often late on closeouts and only picked up three defensive boards.

“He scored some points,” head coach Dwayne Stephens said. “Defensively and rebounding wise I didn’t think he played as well as he can play. We need him to play both sides of the ball, not just offense.
