Freshman forward Mattias Samuelsson of the Western Michigan Broncos hockey team has been named to the USA Junior World Championship Preliminary Roster.
The USA Junior Hockey Team is an under 20 team that represents the USA in the International Ice Hockey Federation World Under 20 Championship, it consists of 10 nations. It features the best players that make up the future of hockey, it is a 31 game event that runs 10 days total.
This year's tournament will be played in British Columbia, Canada on December 26th - January 5th.
Samuelsson previously played for the National Developmental U17 and U18 teams.
