The Broncos are coming back to Kalamazoo with a split against the Miami (OH) Redhawks.
The first game on Friday ended in a 2-2 tie with the Redhawks winning in a shootout for the extra point. The second game on Saturday saw the Broncos win in dominant fashion 4-1.
Western Michigan is now 15-10-5 overall and 9-6-3 in conference play and 8-1-1 in their last 10.
The Broncos struck in the early minutes of the first period in game one thanks to Hugh McGing, his eighth on the year.
Western Michigan scored again in the latter half of the second to take a 2-0 lead.
