Western Michigan hockey completed one of its toughest tasks of the season sweeping the No. 2 St. Cloud State Huskies. WMU defeated the Huskies in shutout fashion 4-0 Saturday night to secure the sweep.
This series sweep was a much-needed one for the Broncos after suffering a sweep last weekend on the road in Denver.
“This was a gutty effort, we were sick all week like last weekend,” head coach Pat Ferschweiler said. “For us to bounce back and to even find the energy to compete at that level makes me real proud of the guys.”
After this series, the Broncos have improved to 8-4-0 overall and 3-3-0 in NCHC competition this year.
