Western Michigan hockey fell 5-2 on the road to Saint Cloud St. Friday in game one of the NCHC quarterfinal series.
Freshman Alex Bump led the Broncos on the offensive side with six shots and two goals, being the lone goal scorer for the team on the night. Four assists were given out on the goals, each to a different teammate. Four other WMU skaters tallied three shots on the night, however the Huskies topped the Broncos in the game taking 30 shots to WMUs 28.
The contest started with each team getting chances on offense to no avail, until a hooking call against SCSU gave the Broncos the first power play of the night.
