The Broncos went on the road to No. 2 St. Cloud State and suffered their second sweep of the season, falling to the Huskies 3-0 and 5-3.
Western Michigan was shutout for the first time this season in Friday's loss. After a scoreless first period SCSU netted two goals in the opening 10 minutes of the second to jump out to a 2-0 lead. WMU goalie Trevor Gorsuch kept the Broncos close, finishing the game with 34 saves, but the Huskies added an empty-net goal with 53 seconds remaining, as the Broncos were unable to get anything past David Hrenak.
