WMU Hockey falls to Toronto, 4-3

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team dropped its exhibition game, 4-3, to the University of Toronto on Saturday night at Lawson Ice Arena.

Matheson Iacopelli had nine shots on goal in the loss.

Aidan Wallace led the way for the Varsity Blues with a hat trick, while Wade Allison, Lawton Courtnall and Matheson Iacopelli each scored goals for the Broncos. WMU outshot UT 50-17, with Toronto goalie Andrew Hunt making 47 saves.

The Varsity Blues struck early to take a 1-0 lead on a short-handed goal by Connor Cleverly.
