KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Fresh off its sweep of No. 20 Ferris State, the Western Michigan hockey team received 21 points in the USCHO.com weekly poll on Monday.

The votes put WMU unofficially in 28th place in the poll. The Broncos defeated the then-ranked Bulldogs on Friday, 5-3 and then again on Saturday 2-1. Awaiting them this week is the new No. 20 in the poll, Bowling Green. The Falcons were ranked 14th in the initial preseason poll but fell to 20 after being swept at Bemidji State over the weekend.
