CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced Monday the Distinguished Scholar Athletes from the seven fall sports during this 2016-17 academic season as 236 students were voted by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions representing the 'best of the best' from each sports Academic All-MAC Teams.
Western Michigan had a total of 21 student-athletes from four fall sports honored. Football and women's soccer each had seven recognitions, while men's soccer had six and cross country had one. Four Bronco student-athletes Zach Bock (men's soccer) Cameron Sipple (men's soccer), Alex Ruffer (women's soccer) and Zach Terrell (football) maintain perfect 4.
