EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Western Michigan golf team rebounded from a tough first round to move up to sixth after 36 holes at the 33rd annual Mary Fossum Invitational on Saturday.

The Broncos combined to shoot a 306 in the first round and responded with a second round of 304, sitting at 610 heading into tomorrow's final round. WMU sits ahead of Georgia Southern, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Xavier and Cincinnati in the field of 12 teams.

"After getting off to a rocky start today, this team should be proud of how they rebounded and stayed with the process," said head coach Elise Swartout-Mosher.
