RIO VERDE, Ariz.- The Western Michigan’s golf team is set to host the 14th annual Rio Verde Invitational this weekend. Originally known as the East/West Rio Verde Invitational, the 2016 edition of the Rio Verde Invitational will formally begin with a shotgun start on Friday at 1 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday the teams will begin play at 8 am.
The Broncos, who are led by second-year head coach Stacy Snider, are looking for their first tournament title and medalist at Rio Verde since the tournament’s inaugural year of 2003. First timer Seton Hall captured the team title last year and will be joining the field again this year.
