The second year of the Lance Taylor era is here in Kalamazoo. WMU football returns most of the key contributors from last year as well as bringing in several impact transfers.
Among the newcomers is junior defensive end Popeye Williams. Williams is a former four-star high school prospect and spent his first two years at Louisville University. The junior looks to bring a level of size and speed not often seen in the Mid-American Conference.
To go along with Williams, redshirt junior Corey Walker will complete the pass rushing pair. The defensive line also features Iowa transfer Anterio Thompson and fellow Louisville transfer Rodney McGraw.
