WMU football premiered at No. 25 in the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll released on Sunday following their victory which put them at a Mid-American Conference leading 5-0 record - the best start to a season since 1994.
In addition to the ranking, wide receiver Corey Davis broke the MAC career receiving record against CMU, totaling 4,252 yards and passing former WMU Bronco Jordan White, who held the record at 4,187. Davis also tied former Bronco and NFL star Greg Jennings for career receiving touchdowns at 39.
Although WMU ranked in the USA Today poll, they missed out on the AP Top 25 Poll.
