Western Michigan men’s soccer end exhibition play with a 1-1 draw on the road against No. 9 Notre Dame. Sophomore forward, Mike Melaragni, scored the tying goal after the Broncos gave up a goal early in the match.
Notre Dame was in full control to start the match, dominating the run of play and testing the Bronco backline. A Bronco turnover led to the game’s opening goal in the 20th minute and the first goal that WMU has given up this season. Jack Lynn was able to secure a pass from Aiden McFadden and place the ball in the back of the net giving the Fighting Irish the 1-0 advantage.
