KALAMAZOO, MI - In the postgame press conference following Western Michigan's 51-24 loss to Toledo, head coach Tim Lester said he was surprised by his defense's failure to pressure the Rockets' quarterbacks.
After breaking down the game film, he added poor tackling from the linebackers and safeties and subpar coverage from the cornerbacks as factors in the lopsided loss.
That leaves room for improvement at all three levels of the defense, and it was with that in mind that the Broncos were thrilled to get back on the practice field Sunday to prepare for Thursday's game against Ohio (5-3, 3-1 MAC).
