Western Michigan baseball went 1-2 in its weekend series at Akron. The Broncos won the first game 10-4 but lost the next two 8-3 and 12-10 respectively. The teams record now sits at 22-18 overall and 13-8 in the Mid-American Conference.
Cade Sullivan and CJ Richmond both had seven hits through the three games. Richmond led the team with six RBIs through the games while Josh Swinehart had five.
WMU threw out 10 total pitchers in the series. DJ Thompson earned a win and a loss while Nolan Vlcek earned the other loss. Both are now 3-2 on the season.
