WMU baseball drops first game of NCAA Tournament against No. 2 Kentucky

Western Michigan men’s baseball was defeated 10-8 at the hands of No. 2 Kentucky in its first game of the NCAA Tournament. It is the first NCAA Tournament appearance for the Broncos since 2016 and the 13th in program history.

Despite being down 8-0 to start the game the Broncos were able to make it a two-run game with a chance to tie or take the lead in the last inning.

CJ Richmond added to his team high RBI total as he knocked in three runs with a double. Cade Sullivan was able to pick up two RBIs as he went 1-4 at the plate.
