KALAMAZOO, MI -- The Western Michigan football team may have needed a little help to secure a spot in the Cotton Bowl and the Broncos got it without even snapping the ball.
Temple defeated Navy on Saturday 34-10 in the Midshipmen's second-to-last game (they play Army on Dec. 10) and that should be enough to lock the Broncos into the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 2 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The Broncos put together a 13-0 season for the first time in program history and won the MAC championship game Friday night for the first time since 1988 at Ford Field in Detroit.
