ROCK HILL, S.C. -- The Western Michigan track and field team continued its strong start to the outdoor season as the Broncos wrapped up the opening day of the ADIDAS Winthrop Invitational on Friday.
Senior Juliane Sormain topped her performance at last week's Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami (Ohio), this time taking first place in the 800-meter run. Sormain ran a season-best time of 2:13.10, finishing nearly two seconds ahead of second place Victoria Dotson from Marshall.
Senior Brittney Hall had a personal best in the 5,000-meter run, winning the race with a time of 17:21.
