CLEVELAND- Western Michigan Western Michigan redshirt senior Marlee Wilson has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week after batting .571 over five games this past week.
Wilson helped WMU upset nationally No. 14 ranked Michigan on the road, as well as win last weekend's Mid-American Conference series against Eastern Michigan. Wilson went 8-for-14 at the plate with one home run, one double, four runs scored and four RBIs. Defensively she had a perfect (1.000) fielding percentage at first base.
Wilson collected two hits, including a home run and drove in three in the Broncos' 8-2 upset on the road at Michigan on Tuesday, as the Broncos handed U-M its first home loss of the season.
