KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Thomas Wilder scored a career-high 35 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Western Michigan to a 94-86 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
Wilder finished with 9-of-13 shooting from the field including 5 of 5 from distance for the Broncos (9-12, 3-5 Mid-American). Tucker Haymond added 21 points and six rebounds and Anthony Avery Jr. had 11 points and five rebounds.
Western Michigan took the lead early in the first half and never relinquished it on its way to a 41-24 advantage at the break.
Wilder sank four 3-pointers in the second half, helping the Broncos to extend their lead to 83-71 with 3:01 to play.
