SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Senior Kirstie Wieber tied the school record for the indoor pole vault to cap off the first day of competition at the famed Meyo Invitational at the University of Notre Dame on Friday night.
Wieber had been flirting with the school record, twice attempting the height of 12 feet, 7.5 inches earlier on in the season. She reached the record-tying eight on her second jump of the night and tied for third overall.
WMU also saw success in the sprints. Arita Gunn ran a personal-best time of 8.71 seconds. In the 60-meter dash Naiomi Dulaney also ran a personal-best, finishing with a time of 7.
