On Tuesday night, Western Michigan beat the MAC West champion NIU Huskies on senior night 28-21. The win secures a spot in a bowl game, and puts to bed anymore calls from fans for a coaching change.

While to make a change at the head coaching spot seems to be like a pretty dramatic step for a Mid-American Conference team who just finished the second season under a new head coach, the fans had seen enough.
After the heartbreaking overtime loss to under .500 Ball State, it seemed like fans had accepted Western Michigan football had officially returned to mediocrity.
